Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to attend the 2005 AAPS Annual Conference to be held in Beijing, China from October 17 through October 20.
AAPS Annual Conference is an established international forum for the presentation and critical discussion of research findings and applications by academics and practitioners.
Participants from the fields of law enforcement, crime, and victimization gather at this conference to exchange their up-to-date research results with a goal to advance police/security practice and research. The theme for the conference this year is “Desirable Direction of Policing in the Fast-Changing Societies”. Papers introducing the criminal justice systems and discussing issues related to individual countries and regions are welcome.
These panels will be invaluable for faculty who teach comparative criminal justice systems. They also provide a rare opportunity for criminal justice professionals whose work involves cross-cultural interactions with counterparts in the international arena.
We hope to provide a forum full of academic challenges while lavishing you with exotic joys of Asian hospitality in Beijing. Tours of the Great Wall, Beijing Police Museum and China Peacekeeping Training Center of Police will be arranged. The academic program is scheduled so that recreational and social events can be enjoyed without affecting your participation in the conference. Please come and join your colleagues in lively research discussions followed by friendly social gatherings and extraordinary site visits.
The registration fee of $100 will cover local transportation, meals, site visits, conference material and other services provided during the conference. Accommodation fee at the 4-star hotel where the conference is held is $50 everyday per room. The paper presenters will be provided with all the services free of charge as the courtesy of the organizer, 몋he Police Science Society of China?
